My name was Emma Goldsmith, I grew up in Sydney and have lived in various places to continue my studies and career as a Graphic Designer. Nic Porter was born in Brazil and moved to Australia in order to complete an internship at Outward Bound Australia. He stayed on at OB and, after 8 years became an Australian citizen.
We were married in November of 2010 — I am now, officially Emma Porter — and this undertaking is, to some degree, our honeymoon. We are in the midst of cycling around some of the countries that most intrigued us such as Singapore, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Spain, Morocco, Turkey, India… this is by no means a complete list, as we have the luxury of waking up in the morning and deciding where to head to next.
We hope that you enjoy some of our stories, we certainly enjoy reading your comments.

Emma! Holy cow, where do I begin?!
Ok, first.. congratulations to you and Nico! I can’t wait to meet him. While I happen to be on the other side of the world, I can only hope your bikes make it to SF. And second, holy crap! Biking round the world?! This is amazing. Excited to follow you guys on the blog and hear some great stories. I’ll take good notes.. definitely something I want to do someday soon, too.
Be well!

Just found your blog via travelling two… We did a bicycle tour as our honeymoon too! We toured for one year (2007) through NZ, SE asia, and Eastern Europe (at http://www.erck.org). I’m so excited to read your archives
